Admission Requirements

Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership

An earned Education Specialist or district-level certification is required. Two applications are required. Deadline for applications is Feb 1. In addition, there is a required interview for those applicants who are short-listed.

Graduate School Application Information

  1. Complete online application
  2. Send official transcripts to Graduate School
  3. Send test scores to Graduate School
    For the Ed.S. either the GRE or the School Leaders Licensure Assessment (SLLA). If submitting the SLLA in lieu of the GRE, you must contact the Graduate School.

Educational Leadership Program Application

  1. Complete online application
  2. Send three letters of recommendation to Educational Leadership Program, Peabody 216 address below
  3. Send copy of valid teaching/administrative license to Educational Leadership Program, Peabody 216 address below
  4. Send autobiographical sketch to Educational Leadership Program, Peabody 216 address below
  5. Send academic writing sample to Educational Leadership Program, Peabody 216 address below

After screening all completed Ed.D. applications, EDLE faculty will invite the top candidates to an interview. Final decisions on admittance for the Ed.D. will be made after the interviews are completed.
