Professional Biography:
Theresa Cronan, Instructor of Curriculum & Instruction, teaches literacy methods and content area literacy courses to elementary and middle level education majors, physical education interns, and practicing teachers at the graduate level. She serves on the Editorial Review Board for Thinking Classroom, and The Reading Teacher, and is a guest reviewer for the Journal of Adolescent & Adult Literacy, all publications of the International Reading Association. Theresa also coordinates the developmental reading courses for university freshmen.
Before moving to Arkansas, Theresa taught elementary reading methods at Louisiana Tech University and supervised student teachers at the elementary and secondary levels in North Central Louisiana. She taught fifth grade in Rapid City, South Dakota, and in Hodge, Louisiana.
She has also taught reading methods to special education majors and critical thinking to prospective secondary educators.
