LaVonne Kirkpatrick Elected President of Honor Society’s State Chapter

LaVonne Kirkpatrick, assistant professor of elementary education at the University of Arkansas, was elected president of the Arkansas chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma Society, an international professional honor society for women educators, on April 25 in Little Rock.
Delta Kappa Gamma was founded in 1929 in Austin, Texas, and has chapters all over the world. Arkansas has 67 chapters with more than 2,000 members. The society has 109,000 members in the United States and 16 other countries.
Kirkpatrick joined the faculty of the College of Education and Health Professions in 1984.
