The Department of Curriculum and Instruction offers a four-year initial licensure B.S.E. degree option in elementary education in partnership with NorthWest Arkansas Community College in Bentonville. The first two years of the program are offered at the community college and may culminate in the Associate of Arts in Teaching degree. Students apply to the University of Arkansas during the semester before their junior year. Cohorts of junior-level students begin in August of each academic year. Senior-level students have a full-year of student teaching experience in elementary schools in Rogers and Bentonville. Upon meeting all graduation requirements, students are eligible for pre-kindergarten through fourth-grade licensure.
