This program is designed for curriculum and instruction directors, supervisors, department heads, and career teachers interested in secondary curriculum and instruction. This degree program is designed to provide the candidate with opportunities to develop in-depth competency related to particular needs. Flexibility exists in planning the 60-hour minimum program to take into account the occupational needs and professional aspirations of each student.
The student must complete a total of 60 graduate hours that are planned with an adviser and approved by an advisory committee. The program of study must include 12 hours in the area of specialization and nine hours of cognate study outside the area of specialization. The program must also include EDFD 5393 Statistics in Education and Health Professions, and an investigative project.
