Dr. Thompson is a graduate of the University of Arkansas and the Pennsylvania State University. Her bachelor’s and master’s degree are from the U of A, Fayetteville, and her doctorate is from PSU. She taught family and consumer sciences at public schools in Mansfield and Conway, Arkansas. She taught vocational teacher education at the Pennsylvania State University, the University of Hawaii, Manoa, and the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville.
Dr. Thompson teaches undergraduate vocational teacher education classes at the University of Arkansas. Primarily, she works with students completing the Master of Arts in Teaching. She teaches undergraduate and graduate classes related to M.A.T., and supervises the internship experience. Much of her research is associated with the teacher education program. She is a co-advisor for Kappa Delta Pi, the honor society in education.
